In July 2023, Leumi UK moved to new premises in the City of London. As part of their commitment to employee well-being, they enlisted DSE Assessments Ltd to conduct comprehensive ergonomic assessments and provide necessary equipment recommendations.

    The company needed to ensure that their new London office and remote work setups were ergonomically sound. They also faced a high number of chair-related issues that required immediate attention and resolution.

    DSE Assessments Ltd implemented a multi-phase approach to address the ergonomic needs of the company's hybrid workforce.

    Phase 1: Initial Assessments and Reports

    July 2023: Online Hybrid Assessments were conducted for the London office.

    • Separate reports for office and homeworking environments were submitted.
    • Follow-up assessments were completed for high-risk reports in the office.
    • Equipment recommendations were provided, highlighting a significant number of chair-related issues.
    Phase 2: Addressing Ergonomic Needs and Budget Planning

    September 2023: Online Hybrid Assessments were conducted for the Brighton office.

    • Separate reports for the Brighton office and homeworking environments were submitted.
    • Information was provided for budget requirements for replacement chairs in London, with an allowance of £300 per chair.
    Phase 3: Implementation and Equipment Trial

    Early 2024: The budget was approved, and a quotation for replacement chairs was provided.

    • Two chair models were delivered to the site for trial, and most employees tested these models.
    • A total of 70 chairs were ordered based on employee feedback.
    Phase 4: Delivery, Installation, and Training

    DSE Assessments Ltd, in collaboration with MDK Office Seating, oversaw the delivery and installation of the new chairs to the 12th floor.

    • They arranged the removal and disposal/recycling of the old chairs.
    • A representative from DSE Assessments spent the day on-site following the delivery to ensure that every employee received training on the new chairs and was set up correctly at their desks.

    The comprehensive approach taken by DSE Assessments Ltd ensured that the company's new office and remote work environments were ergonomically optimised.
